Canbody Welders
The heart of
a three-piece can production
line is the canbody welder.
That's where the body blanks
receive their basic shape and
where the seam overlap is welded.
Our Superwima welding principle
requires only a minimal overlap
of a few tenths of a millimeter.
An optimal control of the welding
current in combination with
a finely matched pressure on
the overlap guarantees a mashed
seam of only 1,4 times the thickness
of the sheet metal.
The modular design of our welding
machines allows for flexible
machine concepts and interchangeability
of machine components, also
enabling for rapid change-overs
of can heights and diameters.

Drum Welders |
| Their
drum welders are capable to
produce drum bodies of up to
1600 mm in height and 630 mm
in diameter, using sheet blanks
of 0.7 mm to 2.5 mm in thickness.
Thanks to a motorized adjustment
of the rounding station, guide-rails
with carriage for an easy removal
of the calibration tool and
automatic synchronization of
the servo motors, change-overs
from one drum size to another
are easy to accomplish.
They offer not only drum welders,
but also complete systems for
the production of drum bodies,
including the necessary loading,
lifting and destacking units
as well as roll-formers and
body transports.

| Seam Protection
Systems |
| Subsequent
to the welding of the canbody,
a durable protection of the
inner and outer welding seams
is an essential step in the
manufacturing process of quality
cans. We offer fully automated
systems for powder coating or
wet lacquering of inside seams
as well as for brush lacquering
of outside seams.
Their seam protection systems
can be customized to all system
configurations, production speeds
and canbody sizes. They ensure
an easy and clean operation
and a low powder or lacquer
consumption. |
