Mudline Equipment

FMC's mudline equipment is utilized for exploratory drilling from jack-up rigs in water depths to 350 feet. For this type of drilling the major portion of the casing loads are suspended at the mudline, not at the rig. From the mudline casing hangers, full-pressure risers extend to the rig at the surface, where the blowout preventer stack is located. Each riser can be disconnected from its hanger for permanent or temporary abandonment.

SD-1 Mudline Suspension System

FMC's SD-1 Mudline Suspension System is a world-proven means of conducting drilling, temporary abandonment, and production tie-back operations from a jack-up or other bottom supported rig. The SD-1 uses a stack-down configuration, with each successive landing sub/casing hanger connection located below the previous one. The standard system is rated to 10,000 psi and is H2S compatible. Higher-strength versions are available.
